Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot? I think not! In fact, this evening, I've had the pleasure of chatting with two very dear friends from the auld days. Like the song we sang at camp (which I detested, BTW), "make new friends, but keep the old; one is silver, and the other gold."

A brief post, but a Happy New Year to all in 2005! Gonna brush the dust off and move forth. Just as my friends have set goals, I have set my own. Inspired by those who have walked through fear and overcome adversity to meet their dreams, I am taking one step at a time toward making way for the good things ahead.

Happy New Year, friends and readers (who will visit in 2005). Here's a toast to life, love, and friends.

Welcome to the Inaugural Post

It's a spectacular day in paradise, sunny, not too hot, not too cold, just right, blue sky. The bay is beautiful from my driver's seat here in the cab. So knit yourselves a seat belt and come along for the ride.

At the year's end, there's much to ponder, not the least of which is the devastation that took place in another paradise on the other side of the world. A detour takes this Gypsy Queen Cab onto some mean streets in Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India as well as other destinations the tsunami visited. My heart goes out to those who survived the unimaginable tragedy as well as those who lost their lives. I am ever reminded of just how precious life is, and how important it is to be in the now.
