About Me

Lovelace Cook
After growing up in the deep south, I made my way to NYC where I worked in magazine publishing and later launched my own business. Through the encouragement of a wonderful mentor, Sam Ferber--a former ESQUIRE publisher, I began writing short stories. Later I met an agent, Peter Miller, who encouraged me to try my hand at screenplay treatments. Little did I suspect that the doors to Hollywood would open...and I worked on several Warner Bros features as a script revisor during production. I made my way to LA by way of New Orleans, and continued to write and study the craft of screenwriting. Time passes...now I live in a little town that I like to think of as Mayberry with a Gothic twist. I still visit NYC and LA for business...more on that later.
